BENEFITING BLANK CHILDRENS HOSPITAL CANCER CENTER
In cooperation with Big Barn Harley Davidson of Des Moines, Newton Association of Professional Firefighters will be hosting a fun run July 24th with ALL PROCEEDS going to Blank Childrens Hospital Cancer Center. The money will go to help cancer patients of Blank and will directly affect some Jasper County families.
We will be starting at the Izzak Walton League here in Newton, travelling up to Baxter, Melbourne, Haverhill and Kellogg in a poker style run event. Each participant will receive two raffle tickets somewhere along the way (not divulging that) that will be eligible for some real nice door prizes at the conclusion of the run. The event will end with Standing Hampton performing on stage, a meal and the awarding of a brand new Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle.
The event is NOT just for motorcycles, its for anyone who wants to participate whether it be motorcycle, car, truck, plane, bicycle&whatever. The raffling of the Harley is NOT included in the run, but we are only selling 1000 tickets and they are only $50.00 each.
Local 1457 members are not eligible to win any of the prizes (including the Harley).
